What location did you choose for your story? It had to be Orlando, Florida since my story is based on the romantic lives of the people inside the the costume characters that parade every day at the theme parks. I used to work for Alton Towers and was lucky enough to blag a few work trips to Orlando to check out what was going on. I’ve been behind the scenes and I find it fascinating that there is this whole other secret world going on that the public never sees…hence my story!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I lived in Russia for a short while and I also spent three years in America. Both were amazing experiences but the only place I ever want to really live is close to my friends and family. Home for me is definitely about people and not places.
Which destination have you returned to the most? I think it might be New York City. When we lived in the States we were just two hours away by car so we just used to drive there for the weekend! The first time we did it it blew my mind. It was so surreal getting there without being on a plane. My husband got sick so I had to drive us back through Manhattan. I have never felt so cool and so petrified all at the same time!
Favourite cuisine of the world? Got to be Italian. Everything just tastes better in Italy.
Favourite holiday cocktail? On holiday with a crowd of mates we survived on Sweet Lavinas. Some time after we got home we tried to recreate them. Worst hangover ever!
Song that most makes you feel like summer? World in Motion by New Order. Big football songs always remind me of glorious summers spent having our hearts broken by footballers!
Best/Worst holiday romance? I once kissed a bloke called Aladdin in Turkey… well he said his name was Aladdin!
