Tell us about the location you chose for your SUNLOUNGER short story… I chose Iceland for its fantastic landscapes and the incredible turquoise of the geothermal spa. Also because I had travelled there before with Kerry Katona. This is an ACTUAL TRUE FACT!
Have your books featured any exotice destinations? In the first chapter of HOW TO GET A LOVE LIFE the heroine finds herself in an airport about to embark on a Single’s Holiday to Greece.
If you could live anywhere in the world… If Australia was an hour away I would choose to live there. In a little hut on Fraser Island with my gorgeous husband and maybe some kind of exotic pet, like a turtle on a rope.
Destination you’ve returned to the most times? It isn’t exotic but the holiday I return to the most is Cornwall, England. It’s fabulous any time of the year. In the summer you can surf at Polzeath, have a fish lunch in Padstow and play golf in the fabulous Rock golf course. In the Winter you can meander around the dunes and then have hot chocolate over-looking the ocean.
Ticket, passport, money and… Books, books, books. My idea of a good holiday is spending the entire day sunbathing devouring novels. I get through a book a day – unless its big type and then the sky really is the limit.
Favourite cuisine from around the world? Dim sum is my food of choice. I have actually learnt to make Prawn and Pork Wonton Soup. It is startling as I really can’t cook. People can testify to this.
Favourite holiday cocktail? Oooh so many to choose from. I used to work as a cocktail waitress (yes, please do start singing that song, how original!) and my favourite was a Singapore Sling – Gin, Cherry Brandy, Angustoras Bitters, Ginger Ale and a twist of lime on the rocks. Yesssss.
What was your best and worst holiday romance? I have lived a sheltered life and don’t really have holiday romance stories*
