As a fashion editor, what is your all-time favourite holiday outfit for…
Beach: I’d never go anywhere without denim cut-offs to throw on over a bikini, a white cotton lace trimmed kaftan, Havianas, stacked friendship bangles and embroidered Morroccan basket.
Evening: I like a bit of sparkle, in the way of an Aztec patterned mini skirt, which I’d wear with a loose, easy, white vest, metallic flat sandals and a pashmina to throw over my shoulders if it gets cooler.
City break: Oriental print Zara jacket, dusky pale pink Feather and Bone camisole, skinny jeans, gold Converse, light mac and cross body bag.
If you could live anywhere in the world… I love London, it’s so full of culture and interesting things to do. I never tire of it. However, if money were no object, I’d love to have a riad in Essaouira, in Morocco. It’s an arty, bohemian place, favoured by Jimi Hendrix in the 1960′s. I like places that have a heritage like that. I’d drink rose and mint tea all day, and have my place filled with amazing Moroccan artefacts.
Destination you’ve returned to the most times? Ibiza. I like the choice of being really chilled and relaxed or there’s the fantastic nightlife.
Favourite cuisine from around the world? Southern Indian Vegetarian…exotic but delicate spices, dishes served on palm leaves. Anything served with edible flowers.
Favourite holiday cocktail? Rose and lychee martini
Best holiday romance: My best was a trip to Ibiza, to El Hotel Pacha – a gorgeous boutique hotel. It was four days of pure passion, beach-filled days, and evenings spent dancing.
Worst holiday romance: a holiday on Crete where we ran out of money and could only eat bread for four days. We also kept turning up on the wrong day to get a ferry home. It left every two days, and we were going by the date on the British newspapers which was a day behind. Nightmare.
